Nightmare Logic
I don’t mean movies lacking logic through bad writing (a la Plan 9 From Outer Space), I mean movies employing the weird, lawless logic of actual nightmares. In this list we’re moving from relatively more coherent story lines to less.
Ambiguous Moms
Horror movies are full of heroic moms (shout out to Diane Freeling) and evil moms (here’s looking at you, Margaret White). The moms here are a bit more ambiguous. Are they doing a bad job, or the best they can in difficult circumstances? Are they even who they say they are?
